Hey there my name is Robin. I am a marathon runner, an active member of Boston1 Dragon Boat Team, and a November Project fanatic (a free fitness community full of early people). Besides sports, meeting people and learning different cultures always excite me. I will be entering Bike & Build as a junior in mechanical engineering at Northeastern University (Boston, MA), and I will celebrate my 23rd birthday during the trip.
I am into to this cause for 3 reasons.
1. Living on the east coast, I seldom have a chance to explore other parts of the U.S. I always want to get more life experience before I settle down to one place for my career and family. The bike trip across the U.S. will sure be an unforgettable memory for me.
2. Affordable housing is an essential for anyone. I remember I used to work at many food pantries. I always felt like only serving people with meals was not the solution to their problem. Providing people with affordable housing relieves a huge financial burden to many low-income families and will restore their confidence.
3. Besides the biking part, the building part also attracts me. As an engineering student I always seek for hands on opportunities. Since I will be building the houses with the materials paid by the money I raised, I will be witnessing the changes taking place!
Thanks for taking the time to learn about my campaign and please make a tax-deductible donation to support my trip. Every dollar counts!
Together, we CAN make a difference!
